ExpressLink is a subscription based service that compliments your
low-bandwidth ISP service by enabling you to reduce download times
by up to 5 times.
 By
using ExpressLink you can save money due to the significant
bandwidth reduction achieved by using this service. A
webpage download that would normally take 40 seconds can be
downloaded as fast as 8 seconds.
| How
does it work? |
 |
ExpressLink provides
its users with increased Internet speed by means of a
high-performance, content acceleration server and a lightweight
client software application.
The acceleration server which
retrieves data from the requested external web server using a
high-speed Internet connection, then compresses and optimizes the
content before sending it back to the client.
These two components communicate over an
accelerated bandwidth channel, resulting in significant
performance gains and bandwidth requirement reduction.
| What
gets accelerated? |
 |
The acceleration server optimizes traffic
over the HTTP, POP3 and SMTP protocols. What this means is
that you will experience acceleration when downloading web pages and
retrieving your email.
