Web Acceleration

The main feature of ExpressLink software is to provide web acceleration. By using our solution you can browse websites up to 5 times faster than the normal speed your ISP provides you.

Pop-up Blocker

ExpressLink client software has a built-in pop-up blocker that stops annoying pop-up advertisements from loading and slowing down your internet connection by using up bandwidth.

Easy to configure, the pop-up blocking feature can be enabled or disabled with just a few clicks.

Settings are provided for "White List" sites you would like to allow pop-ups from. Adding and removing sites from the list is very easy to do.

Image Quality Control

One of the main ways that your Internet speed is increased by using the ExpressLink service is by reducing the size of the images which are downloaded with web pages. The acceleration server will retrieve the images over a high speed Internet connection, then compress the image, reducing quality before delivering it back to the client software on the user's machine.

Settings are provided within the client software to control how much the image's quality is reduced for faster download to the client. There are 6 settings available starting from the original image down to the most significantly reduced image quality for the highest reduction in download times possible.

Getting Full Image Quality

Note: The following information applies only when browsing with Internet Explorer.

While browsing, if you would like to request a full quality image, simply right-click on the desired image from within Internet Explorer and select "Show Original Image" from the menu which opens up. The full quality image will appear in place of the lower quality image.

Single-click Web Browsing

The ExpressLink PC Client application allows single-click access to the Internet. The user is not required to configure any proxy settings or start multiple applications.

To launch the ExpressLink solutions, end-users simply double-click on the ExpressLink desktop icon. If desired, end-users can even access both the ExpressLink web browser and a regular, non-accelerated web browser simultaneously.

Lightweight Design

The ExpressLink PC Client installation is a lightweight, self-extracting, distributable package allowing fast web distribution of the product. The full-featured client application installer is around 1.5MB.

Powerful User Controls

The ExpressLink PC Client features powerful content customization options. This includes intuitive image quality management as well as content filtering capabilities.

Comprehensive Statistical Information

The ExpressLink PC Client provides detailed information on the compression being achieved, in real-time. The information is provided for both downstream and upstream transactions, as well as specific compression rates for text (HTML), graphics and other types.

Compatibility with Existing Systems

The ExpressLink platform works with existing distributed systems, enhancing the systems when speed or bandwidth become issues, but also allows certain "in-house" solutions to be directly accessed. This is done by way of a proxy exclusion list, and the listed sites do not get accelerated.

Full Windows Platform Support

The ExpressLink PC Client installation runs on all major Microsoft Windows platforms, including Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP. For easier distribution the same end-user software package can be distributed to all Windows desktop platform users without modification.
